The rules for using Pinned Route, in beta and beyond.

Last updated · July 2026

Beta software

Pinned Route is currently in beta. Extracted routes are matched to road networks automatically, but automated extraction can be wrong. Always verify your route against your official permit before travel. Pinned Route is a navigation aid, not a substitute for the permit itself.

Your responsibility as a driver

  • You remain responsible for complying with the terms of your permit, including any restrictions on route, time of travel, escort requirements, and dimensions.
  • You're responsible for confirming that the route shown matches your permit before you drive it.
  • Pinned Route does not issue, approve, or modify permits — it reads what's already on yours.

No warranty

Pinned Route is provided "as is" during the beta program, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of extracted route data. We work to improve accuracy continuously, but we don't guarantee a scan will always succeed or that an extracted route will always be error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pinned Route and its operators are not liable for any damages, delays, fines, or losses arising from reliance on route data extracted through the service. Use of the service does not replace your obligation to verify against your official permit.

Acceptable use

Don't use Pinned Route to process permits that aren't yours to use, or in any way that violates applicable law. We may suspend access for misuse.

Changes to the service

Because this is a beta program, features, accuracy, and availability may change as we improve the product. We'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes to beta users directly.
